- 1. Description of the profile
The Senior Analyst-Programmer works closely with the Software Development and
Support Coordinator and Information System Architect to deliver high-quality products.
- 2. Responsibilities
* Analyze requirements;
* Create prototypes and proofs of concepts validating feasibility;
* Write and maintain applications; ensure that the applications reflect specifications;
* Elaborate unit tests; test programs; produce technical documentation;
* Design and integrate technological components; make applications interoperable;
* Assist with deployment, configuration of applications, and the training of users;
* Assist with evaluating and testing products delivered by other teams to ensure
that they conform to the customer requirements and methodology;
Participate in meetings with customers when required to do so.
- 3. Knowledge and skills
* In depth knowledge of application development; good knowledge of the design
and development of either Web and multitier Internet applications using PHP,
nodeJS, JavaScript, and W3C standards, or other applications using Java;
* Good knowledge of modelling tools (e.g. UML, E/R);
* Knowledge of software development methodologies (e.g. RUP);
* Good knowledge of relational database systems.
* Ability to cope with fast changing technologies;
* Ability to take part in multilingual meetings, ease of communication;
* Capability to integrate in an international / multi-cultural context, rapid self-starting
capability and experience in team working.
- 4. Education and experience
* Minimum 8 years of relevant studies and experience after the secondary school;
* Minimum 4 years of IT professional experience;
* Minimum 4 years of analysis and programming experience;
* Experience with UML or case tools;
* Experience with relational databases;
* Experience with various Internet application development paradigms.
* Optional : Minimum 3 years in modelling tools (e.g. UML), RDBMS (e.g. Oracle),
or development tools / environments / languages (e.g. Java, J2EE, PL/SQL)
